Testimonials
2025:
During October and November 2025, GCA has been busy working in partnership with Viva Sanitary in Kirby, Liverpool. Viva Sanitary are a leading national supplier of critical parts for sanitary systems to retailers and businesses across the UK.
It's clear that the team at Viva Sanitary are fully committed to their ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) responsibilities and understand that this evidenced commitment has become the lens through which many customers and clients are seeing who in their supply chain share their own values, and therefore who they are able to work with going forward.
Working closely with the Viva team, we measured their Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions sources in accordance with the internationally recognised GHG Protocol requirements to accurately assess sources of emissions within the business and to contract a fully complaint Carbon Reduction Plan detailing planned reductions of GHG's through operational and structural changes.
The process was collaborative and efficient, removing the burden of this element of compliance from Viva Sanitary, allowing them to get on with what they do best.
It's been a real pleasure working with such a forward-thinking company.
If you are an SME looking to deal with your own ESG compliance requirements, GCA can help make the process quick and straightforward for your organisation - please don't hesitate to give us a call - we can help!

2024:
UKL / GCA Case Study
One of the highlights for Garth Carbon Assist (GCA) in 2024 has been our close collaboration with the forward-thinking Cheshire-based company, UK Landscapes Ltd (UKL). We assisted them in measuring their carbon emissions by producing a GHG Protocol-compliant base year Carbon Footprint document.
UK Landscapes Ltd is a leading national provider of Grounds Maintenance, Landscape Construction, Arboriculture, and Winter Maintenance Services across the UK.
Visit the UKL website to learn more.
Garth Carbon Assist (GCA) collaborated with UKL to develop a Carbon Reduction Plan that complies with UK GOV PPN 06/21 guidelines. This plan empowers UKL to commit to, plan, and execute actions aimed at significantly reducing carbon emissions at their Cheshire headquarters over the next five years.
Here’s how we achieved this:
Garth Carbon Assist will recalculate UKL's carbon footprint annually to maintain ongoing awareness of their carbon emissions and ensure progress toward their Carbon Zero goals.
The UKL Carbon Reduction Plan will also undergo an annual review to incorporate technological advancements and adapt to future developments.
Net Zero ambitions have always been embedded in UKL’s corporate culture, and these actions have turned their aspirations into tangible results.
Key actions include:
We also clarified the meaning of Net Zero and how daily business strategies, culture, and actions can drive UKL closer to their Net Zero target.
Additionally, we collaborated to understand and address the needs of UKL’s customers, helping them meet their own Net Zero targets—an increasingly crucial factor in today’s commercial landscape.
One of the major carbon-positive outcomes planned for 2024 includes sourcing and installing a 33.4 Kwh photovoltaic array system at UKL’s Cheshire HQ, complementing the six charging stations already in place.
Garth Carbon Assist took charge of sourcing, facilitating, and managing the installation, allowing UKL to focus on what they do best; creating and maintaining beautiful green spaces for everyone to enjoy.
Garth Carbon Assist successfully secured funding under the UKSPF stream on behalf of UKL, significantly minimizing the installation costs. This effort resulted in a remarkable 96% reduction in the original cost estimate, ensuring the best value for money.
Additionally, the transition to electric vehicles and the adoption of sustainable energy practices have led to substantial energy cost savings, with lower monthly bills for heating, hot water, and grid power.
You can watch the installation video here.
Looking ahead, UKL plans to install a storage battery array to store surplus photovoltaic (PV) generated power, further supplementing their sustainable energy use.
UKL is also committed to enhancing their battery-powered operational equipment fleet as technology advances, and they plan to expand their EV van fleet where it aligns with client and operational needs.
The UKL HQ in Cheshire will soon be equipped with an Air Source Heat Pump system to provide efficient heating, hot water, and air conditioning. In addition, a significant upgrade to the building’s insulation is planned over the next two years.
These initiatives are key components of UKL’s ongoing carbon reduction strategy on their journey toward Net Zero.
It has been incredibly rewarding to collaborate with UK Landscapes Ltd—a company dedicated to planning, committing, and taking real, impactful steps toward decarbonization and achieving their Carbon Zero goals.
